Enjoy a city tour and learn more about Memphis' role in the birth of the Blues and Rock 'N' Roll. See Beale Street, BB King's Blues Club, the Mississippi River, and the infamous Lorraine Hotel. This evening is at leisure to enjoy this charming city. (Full Breakfast) Hotel: Marriott Memphis Downtown | | Day 4 | Memphis | We tour Elvis Presley's amazing Graceland, its grounds and the King's final resting place. There's plenty of time to explore the many exhibits highlighting his life and career. (Full Breakfast) | | Day 5 | Natchez | We enter Mississippi and continue downriver to Natchez. We tour one of Natchez' beautiful homes and learn about the gracious lifestyle that existed here in the days before the Civil War. Tonight we enjoy dinner at a beautiful Natchez mansion. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner) Hotel: Natchez Eola Hotel | | Day 6 | Lafayette | Crossing into Louisiana, we stop at Frogmore Cotton Plantation for a guided tour. We spend the afternoon exploring fascinating Cajun Country, founded in the 18th century byFrench-speaking exiles from Canada. Today the region is a unique blend of French, Creole and Caribbean influences. Experience this culture on our visit to Vermilionville, a recreated Cajun village, where we enjoy a cooking demonstration. This evening, we dine at a local specialty restaurant. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)Hotel: Holiday Inn Lafayette | | Day 7 | New Orleans | This morning a cruise takes us through the swamps and bayous of the Atchafalaya Basin. Back on land, we follow the Mississippi River to Oak Alley Plantation. We tour this gracious home and grounds and hear tales about life for both master and slave during the heyday of Louisiana's sugarcane industry. This afternoon we arrive in New Orleans for our two-night stay. (Full Breakfast)Hotel: New Orleans Marriott | | Day 8 | New Orleans | A morning sightseeing tour of the "Big Easy" includes the historic French Quarter and the French Market. Next we visit one of the city's above-ground cemeteries. We enjoy a farewell dinner in one of the French Quarter's most famous restaurants. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner) | | Day 9 | Depart New Orleans | Our tour ends this morning at hotel check-out. A complimentary transfer is provided to New Orleans International Airport.
